Synopsis

The Iberian lynx is one of the most beautiful and rare cat species in the world. On the brink of extinction, its population is slowly beginning to recover. Over the course of a year, this two-part series reveals the intimate life of the Iberian lynx in the Sierra Morena mountains of Andalusia in southern Spain. Through stunning cinematography, we follow the lynx’s struggle for survival, from the thrill of the hunt to the tender moments of rearing. We also witness their coexistence with other predators – such as majestic golden eagles and playful otters – and prey: wary rabbits or a mighty deer. With exclusive and rarely-seen footage, this wildlife series is a celebration of the return of this unique feline and a call to continue to protect it from the challenges of the future.
